The Manhattan district attorney ordered a major league player to get some training away from the plate and work on his people skills.
Former Detroit Tigers leftfielder Delmon Young pleaded guilty Wednesday to an aggravated harassment charge for assaulting a man outside the Hilton New York hotel in April.
The 27-year-old slugger admitted to using an anti-Semitic slur during the fight and will take part in 10 days of community service and a “restorative justice program” at the Museum of Tolerance New York.
If he complies with the court order until May, the DA will downgrade the guilty plea to a lesser charge.
