The biggest week for gamers kicked off Monday with the start of the Electronics Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.
The annual event, aka E3, is where the gaming industry’s leading companies show off their new titles, hardware and other tidbits.
Microsoft was first up Monday with a massive presentation for its new games and services for their Xbox 360 console.
Halo 4: A new installment of the popular first person shooter will hit shelves in November. A new trailer revealed the game’s hero Master Chief will be facing off with a new enemies.
New Games: Microsoft announced a new addition to their action series “Gears of War” along with a new sequel to the stealth game “Splinter Cell.”
More Kinect: The XBox’s motion control camera will be integrated into many games this fall, Microsoft announced. In the EA sports games Madden 13 and FIFA 13, players can call out plays with their voice and even argue with the virtual refs. Yes, you can get red carded.
Entertainment: It’s not just about the games anymore. Microsoft announced Xbox owners, who can already access Netflix and Hulu from their consoles, will have a new music service called Xbox Music and access to NBA and NHL games with a subscription.
