Ben Affleck apparently doesn’t need an armored suit or gadgets to ward off Internet backlash.
The 41-year-old star made his first talk show appearance after he was chosen to play Batman in the sequel to “Man of Steel,” on Tuesday’s taping of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” and said he wasn’t bothered by the outcry from fans about the casting decision.
“I’m a big boy,” he said. “I’m very tough.”
The Oscar-nominated actor and director, however, told Fallon that he was hesitant to succeed Christian Bale’s portrayal at first.
Things changed when he chatted with the film’s director Zack Snyder about the story of the movie that’s set to open in 2015.
“It’s an incredible take on it,” he said. “I thought this is a brilliant way to do this.”
